People automatically deem this as being the "bible" of information on oil manufacturers and it could me no more than a particular company drumming up some business for their own benefit. Seemed to work on this forum pretty well! I'm a firm believer that you change your oil every 3000k miles or less no matter what brand oil, and you'll get maximum longevity out of your motor. Although I must also state that I am sure some oils have better wear ratings than others but if you change the oil before it has a chance to break down, then you are in good shape.
